Launch of the HIVE Community

We’re pleased to announce the launch of a new initiative called Health Innovation Virtual Engagement (HIVE), an online learning community for Canadian physicians with an interest in urticaria and related conditions.

HIVE will foster open scientific discussions through online forums, webinars and micro-learning objects, to sustain ongoing connection anchored in scientific discovery and expert insight. It is our hope that this enhanced collaboration will advance understanding in this field and support the highest level of care in Canada.

Members of HIVE will receive a weekly email digest with a summary of newly-released scientific articles from HIVE members, curated content from sources identified by the HIVE faculty, as well as periodic learning opportunities including: (a) structured questions to initiate forum discussions, (b) article reviews via podcast and/or webinars, and (c) polling questions and webinars to augment community discussions. The webinars will be recorded and archived as enduring learning material for community use.

LegitiMed will be managing this virtual community residing on Sosido (www.sosido.com).

We understand your level of participation will be determined by your level of interest. As such, if you find that the network is not useful to you or you do not want your research to be featured, you can unsubscribe at any time (see unsubscribe instructions below).

We are interested in a full exchange of ideas around this subject. So, if you know others who would be interested in participating in the HIVE community, we welcome your referrals/recommendations.

We thank Novartis Canada for their financial support of this initiative.

We look forward to hosting you.

Sincerely,

Dr. Gordon Sussman, MD, FRCP(C), FACP, FAAAAI
Chair, HIVE
